Course Overview

Ansible is one of the most widely used tools for automating IT infrastructure, system administration, application deployment, and DevOps tasks. Instead of configuring servers manually one by one, Ansible allows administrators and engineers to define what they want to achieve and automate the work across many systems.

This course takes you from Ansible fundamentals to practical enterprise automation. You will learn how Ansible works, how to create inventories, connect to managed servers, use modules, write Playbooks, manage variables and facts, use conditions and loops, create reusable Roles, work with Content Collections, and protect sensitive information with Ansible Vault.

You will also learn practical automation for common Linux administration tasks, including users and groups, packages, services, files, storage, firewall configuration, scheduled tasks, and application deployment.

The course includes hands-on labs using Linux systems and focuses on the skills tested in the Red Hat EX294 performance-based exam. Red Hat's current EX294 objectives include Ansible inventories, modules, variables, facts, loops, conditions, Playbooks, Roles, Collections, Vault, managed-node configuration, SSH, privilege escalation, Git, ansible-navigator, and automation of common system-administration tasks.

Important certification note

For your website, I recommend not marketing EX294 simply as “RHCE certification.”

The safer current wording is:

“Ansible Automation & EX294 Certification Training — preparation for the Red Hat Certified Advanced System Administrator in Ansible exam and the RHCE Ansible pathway.”

Red Hat now states that passing EX294 alone grants the standalone Red Hat Certified Advanced System Administrator in Ansible certification. The RHCE credential has additional requirements under the current certification framework.
